9E Suspension from office
The Fire Rescue Commissioner or a Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner may be suspended from office by the Governor in Council.
The Governor in Council must not suspend the Fire Rescue Commissioner or a Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner under subsection (1) unless the Governor in Council believes that grounds may exist for the removal of the Fire Rescue Commissioner or the Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner under section 9D(1).
The Governor in Council may revoke the suspension of the Fire Rescue Commissioner or a Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner at any time.
If—
the Fire Rescue Commissioner or a Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner has been suspended; and
the Governor in Council has not revoked the suspension under subsection (3) during the period of 30 days after the suspension—
the suspension ceases to be in effect at the end of that period unless the Fire Rescue Commissioner or Deputy Fire Rescue Commissioner has for any reason ceased to hold office before the end of that period.
