112 Building surveyors to give information to the Secretary in relation to certain building permit applications
This section applies if the Secretary—
knows or considers that a relevant building surveyor has received an application for a building permit in relation to which there has been non-compliance with section 44; or
after reviewing documents given to the Secretary under section 44, the Secretary wants more information for the purposes of performing functions under Part 4.
The Secretary, by written notice, may direct a relevant building surveyor to whom the application for the building permit was made to give to the Secretary any one or more of the following—
the application for any building permit in relation to which there has been non‑compliance with section 44;
any building permit issued on an application mentioned in paragraph (a);
information of the kind required to be given to the Secretary under section 44(1)(c) that is specified in the notice.
A relevant building surveyor must comply with a notice under subsection (2).
