62AF Restricted use of protected information given under this Division

(1)

For the purposes of this section, information disclosed under section 62AB(5), 62AC(2) or 62AD is protected information in relation to a person if the person knows, or has reasonable grounds for believing, that the information has been disclosed under section 62AB(5), 62AC(2) or 62AD.

(2)

A person must not use or disclose protected information unless the use or disclosure is for a permitted purpose.

Penalty for this subsection:

(a)

if the information is used or disclosed for a commercial purpose — a fine of $100 000;

(b)

otherwise — a fine of $10 000.
