11 Certifier—fire safety
(1)
A registered certifier who holds a certifier—fire safety class of registration is authorised to issue a compliance certificate under the Planning Act for performance solutions for the following to the extent that fire safety is involved—
(a)
the design of building work,
(b)
constructed building work.
(2)
Building work involves fire safety for the purposes of subclause (1) if it relates to—
(a)
fire safety systems and components of fire safety systems, or
(b)
the safety of persons in the event of fire, or
(c)
the prevention, detection and suppression of fire.
(3)
In this clause—
fire safety system has the same meaning as in the Building Code of Australia.
