11 Certifier—hydraulic (speciality)
Knowledge Must know and understand the following—
the design, planning and construction requirements relevant to this class of registration and appropriate techniques used for construction,
the Building Code of Australia, including documents adopted by reference in the Building Code of Australia, to the extent they are relevant to this class of registration.
inspection requirements relevant to this class of registration.
Skills Must be able to do the following—
determine the extent of proposed and constructed building work to be certified,
plan and conduct inspections of building work relevant to this class of registration to assess compliance,
take appropriate action prior to the issue of a compliance certificate,
apply appropriate engineering principles and relevant Building Code of Australia, legislative and other requirements when assessing speciality hydraulic services for compliance,
verify design assumptions during construction,
develop testing programs, including interpreting and auditing of test results, relevant to this class of registration,
critically review research data to assess its limitations and applications.
