Rear fog lights

67 Rear fog lights

(1)

A heavy vehicle may have fitted to its rear—

(a)

a pair of rear fog lights; or

(b)

1 rear fog light fitted on, or to the right of, the centre of the rear of the vehicle.

(2)

A rear fog light fitted to a heavy vehicle must—

(a)

have its centre—

(i)

not more than 1.5m above ground level; and

(ii)

at least 100mm from the centre of a brake light; and

(b)

when on, project red light behind the vehicle; and

(c)

not use more than 27W; and

(d)

be wired to a visible device in the vehicle that tells the driver in the normal driving position that the rear fog light is on.

(3)

In this section—

rear fog light means a light used on a heavy vehicle to make it more easily visible from the rear in dense fog.
