94 Crank case gases

(1)

This section applies to a heavy motor vehicle with 4 or more wheels that is powered by a petrol engine and was built after 1971.

(2)

The heavy motor vehicle must be built to prevent, or fitted with equipment that prevents, gases emitted from the vehicle’s engine crank case escaping to the atmosphere.

(3)

In this section—

engine crank case, in relation to a vehicle, means the case within which the crank shaft of the vehicle’s engine is enclosed.
