483 Existing applications to cancel negative notice
(1)
This section applies if—
(a)
a person has applied for a cancellation of the person’s negative notice under section 118 of the unamended Act; and
(b)
the application has not been decided or withdrawn at the commencement.
(2)
If the application was made by a new relevant disqualified person—
(a)
the application is taken to have been withdrawn; and
(b)
the commissioner must give written notice of the withdrawal to the person.
(3)
If the application is made by a person other than a new relevant disqualified person, the application is taken to have been made under section 236, and must be decided under that section.
