17 Review and revision of management plans
The Authority must —
in the case of the management plan referred to in section 16(1), not later than 5 years after the commencement of this Act; and
in the case of a management plan referred to in section 16(2), not later than 5 years after the preparation of the plan,
review the plan and, if it considers that the circumstances so require, prepare amendments to the plan or a revised management plan for the designated land to which the plan applied.
The Authority must take action under subsection (1) in respect of every management plan for the time being in force not later than 5 years after the Minister has, under section 21, approved the plan or amendments to it or its continuation in force without amendment.
If, on a review under this section, the Authority considers that a management plan does not require amendment or revision it may determine that the existing management plan is to continue in force without amendment.
In performing its functions under this section, the Authority is to have the objective of promoting its functions under section 9(2).
