16 Minister may give directions to local government
(1)
The Minister, in writing given to a local government, may direct the local government to —
(a)
operate specified caravan parks and camping grounds to a standard specified by the Minister; and
(b)
comply with a provision of this Act in respect of any specified land; and
(c)
do any other specified thing which the Minister considers necessary for the effective operation of this Act.
(2)
In subsection (1) —
specified means specified in the notice given under that subsection.
(3)
A local government which contravenes a direction under subsection (1) commits an offence.
Penalty: $5 000.
