18 Powers of entry

(1)

An authorised person may, at all reasonable times, for the purposes of this Act —

(a)

enter and inspect a facility, other than a building in a facility that is used as a residence; and

(b)

enter and inspect any caravan or camp which is not in a facility; and

(c)

after serving reasonable notice or with the consent of the occupier, enter and inspect a building in a facility that is used as a residence; and

(d)

stop, enter, inspect or detain any vehicle in a caravan park or camping ground; and

(e)

conduct such examinations and inquiries as the authorised person considers necessary to ascertain whether there has been compliance with this Act or any condition imposed under this Act; and

(f)

require any person to state his or her name and principal place of residence; and

(g)

exercise such other powers as are prescribed for the purposes of this Act.

(2)

For the purposes of subsection (1) —

reasonable notice means notice given at least 24 hours before the time at which entry is sought.
