14 Conduct of funerals
(1)
Subject to subsection (2), a person shall not conduct a funeral at a cemetery unless that person is the holder of —
(a)
a funeral director’s licence issued under this Act in respect of that cemetery by the Board responsible for the care, control and management of that cemetery; or
(b)
a permit issued under this Act in respect of a particular funeral at that cemetery by the Board responsible for the care, control and management of that cemetery.
Penalty: $1 000.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not apply to the conduct of a funeral at a cemetery by or on behalf of the Board responsible for the care, control and management of that cemetery.
