23 Applications, general rules
(1)
An application to a court must be made by lodging a Form 1 and an affidavit in support unless —
(a)
these rules provide otherwise; or
(b)
the CPA or a written law provides otherwise.
(2)
An application and any affidavit in support of it must be served on each other party, and any other person affected by the application, as soon as practicable after they are lodged and in any event at least 2 clear working days before the hearing date for the application, unless the court orders otherwise.
(3)
Despite subrule (1), a court may give leave for an application to be made orally on any terms it thinks are just.
