Change of court

31 Change of court

(1)

On the application of a party or on its own initiative, a court may order that an accused who has been committed to the court for trial or sentence be dealt with by another court of competent jurisdiction in respect of some or all of the charges for which the accused was committed.

(2)

If a court makes an order under subrule (1), the court may make any order and issue any document needed to ensure that any person, including the accused, whose presence will be needed, appears at the other court.
