29 Sales and purchases
A person who sells any radioactive substance, or any irradiating apparatus or electronic product the registration of which is required under this Act, commits an offence unless —
he required the purchaser to produce evidence that he is the holder of a licence or exemption granted under this Act in relation thereto; and
he notifies the Council in writing forthwith specifying the name and address given by the purchaser and particulars of the relevant licence or exemption.
A person who purchases from any other person outside the State any radioactive substance, or any irradiating apparatus or electronic product which is intended for use in the State and the registration of which is required under this Act, shall —
forthwith notify the Council in writing; and
make application to the Council for the registration of that apparatus or product, or for the grant of an exemption from registration.
