4AG Mandatory CPD topic for CPD year
The Commissioner may, by written notice, specify that an approved CPD topic is a mandatory CPD topic for a CPD year for —
regulated persons generally; or
a specified class of regulated persons.
An approved CPD topic may be specified as a mandatory CPD topic under subregulation (1) if the Commissioner considers that it is necessary or desirable for regulated persons, or regulated persons of the specified class, to extend their knowledge or skills in relation to the topic, including because there have been —
legislative or regulatory changes relevant to the topic; or
industry developments relevant to the topic; or
instances of non‑compliance or suspected non‑compliance in connection with the topic.
The notice under subregulation (1) must —
specify the number of CPD points required to be earned in relation to the mandatory CPD topic; and
be published on the Commissioner’s website before the beginning of the CPD year to which it relates.
