24 Chairperson
If the entity that established a committee does not appoint a member to be chairperson of the committee, the committee must elect a member to be the chairperson.
Also, a committee may elect a member to be chairperson of the committee at any time.
The member elected under subsection (1) or (2) is appointed as chairperson when the entity establishing the committee approves the appointment.
If a committee was established by an entity other than the chief executive, as soon as practicable after the chairperson is appointed the committee must give the chief executive a written notice containing the following information—
the member’s full name;
the date the member was appointed as chairperson.
