Appointment

21J Appointment

(1)

An office called the Independent Monitor is established.

(2)

The Minister may appoint an individual to the office.

(3)

The Independent Monitor holds office on the terms and conditions of appointment determined by the Minister.

(4)

The Independent Monitor is entitled to the remuneration determined by the Minister on the recommendation of the Public Sector Commissioner.

(5)

The Independent Monitor holds office for the term specified in the instrument of appointment and is eligible for reappointment.

(6)

The Independent Monitor may resign from office by notice in writing given to the Minister.
