21ZD Minister may direct Commission in relation to Burswood Casino and Royal Commission
The Minister may give directions in writing to the Commission about the performance of its functions in relation to the Burswood Casino, either generally or in relation to a particular matter, and the Commission must give effect to the direction.
A direction under subsection (1) must relate to the recommendations in the final report of the Perth Casino Royal Commission.
This section does not limit the Minister’s power to direct the Commission, including in relation to the Burswood Casino, under the Gaming and Wagering Commission Act 1987.
The Minister must cause the text of a direction under subsection (1) to be laid before each House of Parliament within 12 sitting days of the House after the day on which the direction is given.
The text of a direction under subsection (1) must be included in the annual report submitted by the accountable authority of the Commission under the Financial Management Act 2006 Part 5.
