19 Requirement to comply with obligatory provisions

(1)

A network operator must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that each prescribed activity carried out on the network is carried out in such a way as to comply with each obligatory provision that applies to the prescribed activity.

Penalty for this subregulation: a fine of $250 000.

(2)

A contractor must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that each prescribed activity carried out on a network by the contractor, or a person for whom the contractor is responsible, is carried out in such a way as to comply with each obligatory provision that applies to the prescribed activity.

Penalty for this subregulation:

(a)

for an individual, a fine of $50 000;

(b)

for a body corporate, a fine of $250 000.
