27 Network planning criteria
A corporation must prepare criteria relating to the planning of its electricity transmission network on or before 1 May 2006.
The network planning criteria must be consistent with the Technical Code and must contain the following —
contingency criteria;
steady‑state criteria;
stability criteria, including —
transient stability criteria;
dynamic stability criteria;
voltage stability criteria; and
frequency stability criteria;
quality of supply criteria, including —
voltage limits;
voltage fluctuation criteria;
system frequency criteria;
harmonic voltage criteria;
harmonic current criteria;
voltage unbalance criteria; and
electro‑magnetic interference criteria;
and
environmental criteria.
A corporation may from time to time amend the network planning criteria but before doing so the corporation must provide details of the proposed amendment to users and give users a reasonable period of time within which to comment on the proposed amendment.
A corporation must provide a copy of the network planning criteria (as amended) to any user or applicant who requests a copy of it.
