Electronic Conveyancing Act 2014

In this section —

a Saturday or Sunday; or

a public holiday in the metropolitan region (as defined in the Planning and Development Act 2005 section 4(1)).

This section applies to the following documents —

operating requirements;

participation rules;

changes to operating requirements or participation rules.

Where any document to which this section applies is made publicly available in accordance with section 25, the Registrar must, within 10 business days after the day on which the document is first made publicly available, cause to be published in the Gazette notice of —

the making of the document; and

where the document is publicly available.

If notification of the making of a document to which this section applies is not published in the Gazette in accordance with subsection (3), the document ceases to have effect on the expiry of the 10^th business day after the day on which the document was first made publicly available, but without affecting the validity or curing the invalidity of anything done or of the omission of anything in the meantime.

A copy of a document to which this section applies must be laid before each House of Parliament within 6 sitting days following notification of the making of the document in the Gazette in accordance with subsection (3).

If notification of the making of a document to which this section applies is published in the Gazette, the Interpretation Act 1984 section 42 applies as if the document were a regulation published in the Gazette.
