Review of Act

In force

(1)

The Minister must carry out a review of the operation and effectiveness of this Act —

(a)

as soon as is practicable after the period of 7 years beginning on the day on which section 7 comes into operation (the review period); or

(b)

at any earlier time that the Minister considers appropriate.

(2)

The Minister must —

(a)

prepare a report based on the review; and

(b)

cause the report to be laid before each House of Parliament as soon as is practicable after it is prepared, but in any event —

(i)

if the review is carried out after the review period, not more than 12 months after that period; or

(ii)

if the review is carried out earlier than that, not more than 6 months after the review is completed.
