10 NICC may grant licence
The NICC may grant a licence authorising the licensee to sell or supply liquor by retail on the premises specified in the licence for one or more of the following—
consumption on the licensed premises,
consumption away from the licensed premises, if the requirements of section 25A are satisfied,
consumption away from the licensed premises, if—
the license is held by a casino operator, and
the liquor is sold to a resident or permanent occupant, and
the requirements of subsection (4) are satisfied.
A licence authorises the licensee to sell or supply liquor in accordance with this Act and the conditions of the licence.
The authorisation conferred by a licence is subject to this Act and the regulations under the Casino Control Act 1992.
The following requirements are specified for the purposes of subsection (1)(c)(iii)—
for a resident—
the sale of liquor must be ancillary to the provision of a meal for consumption away from the licensed premises, and
the volume of liquor supplied to the resident on any one day must not exceed 2 litres,
for a permanent occupant—the sale of liquor must occur during the standard trading period that applies to a packaged liquor licence under the Liquor Act 2007.
In this section—
casino precinct means the whole of the premises on the land bounded by Pyrmont Street, Union Street, Edward Street, Pirrama Road and Jones Bay Road at Pyrmont.
permanent occupant means a person whose principal place of residence is—
1A Barangaroo Avenue, Barangaroo, being Lot 2, DP 1264173, or
located within the casino precinct.
