13 Special events extended trading period for particular licensed premises
In addition to the trading hours that apply under this Act to licensed premises, liquor may be sold or supplied on licensed premises—
during a period that is an extended trading period within the meaning of the Liquor Act 2007, section 13, and
in accordance with a declaration for the extended trading period under that section.
A declaration for an extended trading period under the Liquor Act 2007, section 13 extends to licensed premises if the declaration—
specifies the licensed premises, or
applies to the area in which the licensed premises is located.
This section does not authorise the sale, supply or consumption of liquor on licensed premises contrary to a restriction or prohibition imposed by or under this Act in relation to the trading hours for the licensed premises.
Note—
An extended trading period may only be declared under the Liquor Act 2007, section 13 in relation to a special event that is an event the Minister considers to be of regional, State or national significance.
