Deciding applications
35 Deciding applications
The authority must consider, and decide to approve or refuse to approve, each application for assistance under a part of the scheme.
However, the authority does not need to consider an application that does not comply with section 34(1).
The authority must decide applications in the order they are received by the authority.
The authority must refuse to approve an application for assistance under a part of the scheme if the authority’s assistance funds for the assistance are not sufficient to pay for the assistance.
If the authority refuses to approve an application for assistance, the authority must give the applicant written notice of the decision.
