633 Transitional provision—Justice Legislation Amendment (Victims) Act 2018
Despite the amendment made to section 464ZGA by section 9 of the Justice Legislation Amendment (Victims) Act 2018, section 464ZGA as in force immediately before the commencement day continues to apply to—
a sample that was taken in accordance with an order under section 464ZF(2) that was made before the commencement day; or
a sample in respect of which an order under section 464ZFB(1) was made before the commencement day.
Section 464ZGA, as amended by section 9 of the Justice Legislation Amendment (Victims) Act 2018, applies in relation to a sample—
taken in accordance with an order under section 464ZF(2) that was made on or after the commencement day; or
that is the subject of an order under section 464ZFB(1) that was made on or after the commencement day.
In this section—
commencement day means the day on which section 9 of the Justice Legislation Amendment (Victims) Act 2018 comes into operation.
