637 Transitional provision—Crimes Amendment (Manslaughter and Related Offences) Act 2020
In this section—
amending Act means the Crimes Amendment (Manslaughter and Related Offences) Act 2020.
Section 5 as amended by section 3 of the amending Act applies to offences alleged to have been committed on or after the commencement of section 3 of that Act.
For the purposes of subsection (2), if an offence is alleged to have been committed between 2 dates, one before and one on or after the commencement of section 3 of the amending Act, the offence is alleged to have been committed before that commencement.
Section 5A as amended by section 4(2) of the amending Act applies to offences alleged to have been committed on or after the commencement of section 4(2) of that Act.
For the purposes of subsection (4), if an offence is alleged to have been committed between 2 dates, one before and one on or after the commencement of section 4(2) of the amending Act, the offence is alleged to have been committed before that commencement.
Section 5B as inserted by section 5 of the amending Act applies to an offence alleged to have been committed on or after the commencement of that section.
For the purposes of subsection (6), if an offence is alleged to have been committed between 2 dates, one before and one on or after the commencement of section 5 of the amending Act, the offence is alleged to have been committed before that commencement.
