10A Relevant pet shop business: business excluded from definition
In this regulation —
veterinary practice business has the meaning given in the Veterinary Practice Act 2021 section 3.
For paragraph (b)(iii) of the definition of relevant pet shop business in section 3(1), a veterinary practice business is a class of business that is excluded from the definition if the business —
provides either or both of the following services for stray, abandoned, seized or surrendered dogs otherwise than for the purpose of profit or gain —
temporary shelter;
placing dogs with new owners;
and
does not involve supplying, or offering to supply, dogs otherwise than as part of those services.
