42 Application of inspection fees

(1)

A local government to which a fee is paid under regulation 41 is to credit the amount of the payment to an account —

(a)

established and maintained by the local government for the purposes of this subregulation; and

(b)

to be called the [name of local government] Meat Inspection Account.

(2)

Any funds standing to the credit of an account referred to in subregulation (1)(b) are to be applied by the local government only to the payment of the costs of inspections carried out by authorised officers under Division 3 at premises in the district of the local government.

(3)

An account maintained by a local government under the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1911 section 246F(4)(b) 2 immediately before the commencement of this regulation may be used by the local government for the purposes of subregulation (1).
