82 Certificate of analyst
In any proceedings under this Act, a certificate purporting to have been signed by a prescribed authority, or by an officer on behalf of the prescribed authority, is, without proof of the signature or of the official character of the person by whom the certificate was signed, evidence of the facts certified unless the defendant requires the person who signed the certificate to be called as a witness in the proceedings.
In this section—
prescribed authority means—
a registered laboratory of the National Association of Testing Authorities, or
any other body or person prescribed by the regulations.
