31A Taking of timber and forest products from environmentally significant areas for energy transmission projects
For the Act, section 39(5), a licence issued by the Corporation may authorise the taking of timber or forest products on or from land identified as an environmentally significant area for carrying out, or in connection with, State significant infrastructure for one or both of the following projects—
the HumeLink Project,
the Hunter Transmission Project.
However, a licence may only be issued if the State significant infrastructure is approved under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Part 5, Division 5.2
For subsection (2), approval includes approval as modified from time to time.
In this section—
State significant infrastructure has the same meaning as in the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
