3 Notification of vacancy
(1)
The returning officer must give notice of the occurrence of a vacancy in the office of chairperson of the joint organisation to the Secretary (unless the returning officer is the Secretary) and to the general managers of the member councils of the joint organisation.
(2)
The returning officer is to do that within 7 days of the occurrence of the vacancy.
(3)
The notice is to set out the manner in which a person may be nominated as a candidate for election as chairperson.
