36 Report of emergencies and unplanned disruptions
A licensee for a pipeline must immediately notify the Secretary, by telephone and email, of an event relating to the activities carried out under the licence that—
(a)
requires the carrying out of emergency procedures under the pipeline management system for the pipeline, or
(b)
is unplanned and causes a disruption to—
(i)
the operation of the pipeline, or
(ii)
the conveyance of a substance through the pipeline.
Maximum penalty—
(a)
for a corporation—5,000 penalty units, or
(b)
for an individual—1,000 penalty units.
