Managed Crown land
25 Managed Crown land
The Governor in Council on the recommendation of the Minister may, by Order published in the Government Gazette, place under the Board's management any Crown land specified in the Order that is not part of a zoological park.
The Minister must not recommend that land is to be placed under the Board's management if to do so would be inconsistent with any Act or reservation relating to the land.
The Order may—
state which of the Board's functions and powers are exercisable in relation to the managed land; or
impose any other restrictions or conditions on the management of the land that the Governor in Council thinks fit; or
revoke the appointment of any committee of management to the extent that it applies to the managed land.
On the revocation of an Order under this section, the land to which an Order applied ceases to be under the Board's management and its management reverts to the Crown.
