19 Remuneration and allowances of appointed members and members of committees
Subject to subsection (2), an appointed member or a member of a committee, other than a person who is an officer of the Public Service, is to be paid such remuneration and travelling and other allowances as the Minister from time to time, after consultation with the Public Sector Commissioner, determines in respect of that member.
A member of a committee established under clause 11 of Schedule 2 —
is not to be paid remuneration, unless the Minister, after consultation with the Public Sector Commissioner, determines that payment is to be made in respect of that member; but
is entitled to be paid out‑of‑pocket expenses for travel and accommodation in connection with the discharge of his or her duties.
