27 Appointment and functions of Director and other staff
There are to be appointed under and subject to Part 3 of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 a Director of each commission and such other officers as may be necessary to enable that commission to perform its functions.
The function of a Director is to administer the day to day operations of a commission.
Despite anything in this section, to the extent that there is, in the case of a person who is appointed under subsection (1) to be the Director or an officer of a commission and who is a member of the Senior Executive Service within the meaning of the Public Sector Management Act 1994 1, any inconsistency between this Act and that Act, that Act prevails.
