Funds of a commission

31 Funds of a commission

(1)

The funds available for the purpose of enabling a commission to perform its functions consist of —

(a)

moneys from time to time appropriated by Parliament; and

(b)

any other moneys lawfully received by, made available to, or payable to the commission.

(2)

An agency special purpose account called the (name of region) Development Commission Account is established for each commission under section 16 of the Financial Management Act 2006 to which the funds for each commission referred to in subsection (1) are to be credited.

(3)

The funds standing to the credit of a commission in an Account are to be applied in payment of —

(a)

interest on and repayments of moneys advanced to the commission;

(b)

the remuneration and travelling and other allowances payable to the appointed members or members of committees of the commission under section 19; and

(c)

any other expenditure lawfully incurred by the commission in the performance of its functions.
