60 Functions
(1)
The Commission’s functions are as set out in this Act and include —
(a)
monitoring the operation of and compliance with this Act; and
(b)
monitoring compliance by government organisations with record keeping plans; and
(c)
inquiring into breaches or possible breaches of this Act.
(2)
In performing its functions the Commission is, as far as possible to ensure —
(a)
that State record keeping is of a standard that best serves the interests of the people of this State; and
(b)
that, subject to the law, government records are accessible to the public.
