Victoria University Act 2010

On and from the commencement date, the members of the Council in office under the old Act immediately before that date, subject to subsection (2)—

are taken to be the members of the Council appointed or elected in accordance with Part 2; and

continue in office on the same terms and conditions as those on which they were originally appointed or elected for the remainder of their original terms as if appointed or elected, as the case requires, under this Act.

A member of the Council referred to in subsection (1) other than a member elected by and from the students whose term in office is due to cease—

in December 2010 continues in office until 30 June 2011;

in December 2011 continues in office until 30 June 2012.
