Application of standards or codes
57 Application of standards or codes
If a relevant standard or code imposes a duty but does not clearly indicate the person, or class of persons, responsible for the duty, the duty must be observed or discharged by the person undertaking the activity.
If a duty is placed on more than 1 person, or on a class of persons, the duty must be observed or discharged by each person, or each person in the class—
only in relation to the matters for which the person has management or control, and
whether or not another person is also responsible for undertaking the duty.
A provision of this regulation prevails over an inconsistent provision of a relevant standard or code.
