81 Notification of loss or theft of explosives or explosive precursors
A responsible notifier must immediately notify each relevant authority of the following events—
the theft of an explosive or explosive precursor from the responsible notifier,
an attempt to steal an explosive or explosive precursor from the responsible notifier,
a suspicious incident that threatens the security of an explosive or explosive precursor in the possession, custody or control of the responsible notifier,
the loss of an explosive or explosive precursor by the responsible notifier.
Maximum penalty—350 penalty units.
The harbour master responsible for a port must notify the regulatory authority of the following events occurring in the port—
the theft or attempted theft of an explosive or explosive precursor,
a suspicious incident that threatens the security of an explosive or explosive precursor,
the loss of an explosive or explosive precursor.
Maximum penalty—350 penalty units.
In this section—
relevant authority means the following—
the regulatory authority,
a police officer,
if the explosive or explosive precursor is located at a mining workplace—the mining workplace regulator.
