Appeal record book
97 Appeal record book
As soon as practicable after the initial notice is filed for an appeal, the registrar must—
prepare a record book for the appeal (the appeal record book); and
make the number of copies of the appeal record book the registrar considers necessary for the appeal.
The appeal record book must contain the following documents, to the extent the registrar considers the documents necessary for the court’s decision on the appeal—
the notice of appeal, notice of application for leave to appeal or notice of reference;
the trial transcript;
the exhibits tendered at the trial;
any other document.
In deciding whether a document is necessary under subrule (2), the registrar may consult with the parties.
In this rule—
initial notice means—
for an appeal that may be made only with the leave of the court—the notice of application for leave to appeal; or
for another appeal—the notice of appeal; or
for a reference by the Attorney-General—the notice of reference.
