22 Leave at half pay
(1)
An employee may request the employee's employer to grant the employee a period of long service leave—
(a)
twice as long as the period to which the employee would otherwise be entitled; and
(b)
at a rate of pay equal to half the employee's ordinary pay.
(2)
An employer must grant a request made under subsection (1) unless the employer has reasonable business grounds for refusing the request.
