403 Production or display of inspector’s identity card
(1)
An inspector may exercise a power in relation to someone only if —
(a)
the inspector first produces the inspector’s identity card for the other person’s inspection; or
(b)
the inspector has the inspector’s identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the other person.
(2)
However, if for any reason it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) before exercising the power, the inspector must produce the identity card for inspection by the person at the first reasonable opportunity.
