64 Establishment of biosecurity zone
A biosecurity zone, to be known as the rice biosecurity zone, is established for all land within the following local government areas—
Balranald,
Berrigan,
Carrathool,
Edward River,
Federation,
City of Griffith,
Hay,
Leeton,
Murray River,
Murrumbidgee,
Narrandera.
The rice biosecurity zone is established to manage the biosecurity risk of the following pests and diseases—
Burkholderia glumae (Panicle blight),
Gibberella fujikuroi (Bakanae),
Lissorhoptrus oryzophilus (Rice water weevil),
(Repealed)
Pomacea canaliculata (Golden apple snail),
Pyricularia oryzae (Rice blast),
Tilletia barclayana (Kernel smut of rice),
Trogoderma granarium (Khapra beetle),
any snail of the genus Pila or Pomacea.
Note.
The pests and diseases set out in paragraphs (a)–(g) are prohibited matter under Part 4 of the Act.
