36 Building certifier’s obligation to keep record of decision
If, under this part, a building certifier decides an individual is a competent person, the certifier must keep a record stating the following matters—
the competent person’s name;
the matters for which the person was decided to be a competent person;
the day the decision was made;
if, under section 34(4), the certifier decided the individual has been a competent person (design-specification) from a particular day that was before the day the decision was made—the particular day;
details of the documents or information relied on by the certifier to make the decision;
the certifier’s reasons for the decision.
Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
The certifier must keep the record for least 7 years from the day the decision was made.Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
