45 Local government may exempt particular assessable building work from particular stages of inspection
(1)
A local government may, by resolution, declare a locality or a type of building or structure in the locality exempt from inspection at a stage of assessable building work if the work—
(a)
is, or is an alteration to, a single detached class 1a building or a class 10 building or structure; and
(b)
is not for a swimming pool or fencing around the swimming pool.
(2)
However, the resolution may be made only if the local government is satisfied the exemption will not adversely affect public safety.
