23 Student engagement policy

A principal of a Government school must develop a policy for student engagement for the students at the school.
Reg. 23(2) amended by S.R. No. 25/2021 reg. 9(2).
The principal must develop the policy in consultation with the school community, and have regard to the rights and responsibilities of students, parents of students and staff in developing the policy.
The principal must ensure that the policy is consistent with—
any Ministerial Order about the suspension or expulsion of a student from a Government school made for the purposes of section 2.2.19 of the Act; and
these Regulations; and
any guidelines issued by the Minister relating to student engagement.
