Dividends or refunds are payable in respect of the running of any race or the holding of any sporting event, subject to subregulation (2), during the notified hours and days of business for a period of 7 months.

Refunds in respect of tickets may be paid by or on behalf of RWWA at any time when the totalisator agency is open for the receiving of wagers, except that where dividends in respect of the same ticket may still become payable at a future time refunds due in respect of any race meeting, race or sporting event to which that ticket relates are payable only at the same time as, or after, those dividends would have become payable.
